I'm always using different products in my hair...... I use about 3 different brands of shampoo and conditioner a month on my hair, it's never the same...... unless it did something miraculous to my hair. I believe it's good to do that because it gives the hair a variety of ingredients and different brands have more or less than the next brand, so your hair can benefit by switching it up.... according to what the hair needs at that time. One day I may need Head&Shoulders for dandruff..... and next time I might need a detangling/conditioning shampoo for moisture...... and a clarifying after that, so that's why I think it's good to mix it up because hair (at least mine) has different personalities.
Maybe. I do it but that's because I like trying stuff and having variety. Also, not all products are the same. Not all gels work the same, not all conditioners or moisturizers work the same. I use different products for different reasons sometimes. I try to keep my ultimate favorites on hand at all times though.
I wouldn't call it a benefit, but I do have a set of products I use depending on what style I am going with. And it's always good to have backups just in case a product is out of stock or discontinued.
My hair tends to get used to products even after clarifying so I like to change it up every couple months. For example after I finish a co-washing conditioner I rarely buy the exact same one.
For example I recently made the switch from Aphogee 2 min to Joico K-pak reconstructor. Both are protein treatments but they give the same results for me. I think another factor is to keep the hair care game exciting by using new things ( i get bored easily )
No. I've been using the same moisturizing products for almost 5 years and there is no need to change it.
The only reason why I would say that it would be a benefit is if for instance, your hair is damaged, and you are on a high protein regimen to keep your hair from breaking off or if you once had very healthy hair and now it is damaged, you need to incorporate more protein in your regimen. Other than that, hair is dead. It doesn't get use to a product. However, what type of products it needs may change based on the condition that it is in (healthy, porous, damaged, colored, virgin, chemically treated etc).
I definitely have many different products in my arsenal. For the past 1.5 years I've been pretty loyal to Keracare, but when it runs out, I'll be going with a different line. I feel like my hair likes the change. I'll probably go to a cheaper line, Elasta QP, for the summer, as I tend to wash my hair more often when its hot outside.
