Hi, Swimming can take a toll on hair and the easiest way to cope is by wearing a swim cap.

Heres a page with info on how to really keep hair dry with another link to a page with lots of info about every type of swimcap made! The swim band really does work and can help get your hair up under a swimcap with out breakage.

Hope these tips help!

Thanks for these links! I am sitting here right now mad with a wet head because my swimming cap leaked.

I dont wear one but I need to get a good one. Off to check out the links.

Thanks for the links!

Right now I wear a Lycra fabric cap under a silicon one. Has anybody tried the swim band? I'm afraid it would be too tight on my fragile edges.

I wear a Speedo silicone swim cap and it is great! I always wet my hair before going into the pool to prevent cholorine absorption so I don't know how effective it is to prevent water from coming in. However, my hair has been doing well and the swim cap is very, very durable so I am happy!
