I've used both but not at the same time. I personally think it wouldn't be a good idea based on my reaction to surge.

I like my results with surge but the build up it caused on my hair (not scalp) was too much. I didn't even use it as often as the directions indicated and still I spent hours one day getting rid of buildup on my hair. I wash my hair at least once a week but that didn't help. I replaced it with mtg and it's been a love affair ever since. I could just see a surge and MTG combo causing buildup problems, especially if you put your hair in braids etc.

I'm using surge and mtg right now with my braids but I didn't know both of them would cause major build up I planned on doing an acv rinse later on down the line but do anyone else have experinced this problem with both products. please respond.

I was on the surge band wagon about a year and a half ago. I still use MTG and have good results but Surge caused my scalp to flake somethin terrible. I mean, huge nasty flakes I wasn't losing hair but I was disgusted. My mom had to go through my scalp with a rat tooth comb and just scratch it all out. Oooh it maked me itch thinking about it. Then I tried to use it without the MTG and still same ole nasty scalp. And once I cut Surge out I was straight. I really wanted to be able to use Surge but it just didnt work for me. Plus it made my nape burn.

I mix equal parts MTG and Surge in a small spray bottle. I used this 3x a week on my scalp for about a month this summer and got more than an inch in growth. I also added peppermint oil to help with the smell.

I stopped because I'm lazy I really need to get back on that

I have used Surge off and on for a year and just recently started using MTG. I have never had a bad reaction to surge but I think its cuz I mix it with other stuff. I will be applying MTG about 3 times a week so I will watch and see if I get a lot of build up.

I've been using MTG on and off for about a year and just incorporated Surge. I don't use them consistently so I can't attest to a growth spurt, although with MTG I did initially.

I do like Surge as a detangler. We'll see if it encourages growth.

I do not use both on my scalp, but I use them both on my hair. Love the results! I think when you put it on yr scalp build up does occur. For me, I'm a daily washer, so it doesn't affect me too adversely. I use both products strait, not mixed with anything. My hair has gotten 2X thicker and curlier than it normally was. It makes relaxing my hair impossible. I guess that's the only bad side effect. My hair is more healthy with these products, so they will be my staple probucts for years to come.
