It ate up the skin behind my ears!!! I had been feeling irritation and I got a mirror and looked behind my ears...my skin is dry that it looks ate up. I knwo ti is from Surge because my hairline is startign to look the same. I think that Surge is good but it is just so drying that you need a REALLY good moisturizer. I was using the Woojee cream and Kenra Oil so I don't know if I am going to continue with it or not. I got soem good growth but I don't like the skin irritation

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

Sorry to hear about this Tonya. Boadicea had the exact same problem. She's posted pics of her irritation in her album..

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

Wow, I had already stopped using the Surge, but I'll think twice about using it again. Thanks for giving us a heads up.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

Me too, I kept feeling a pulling tightness but I didn't know what it was, until one day I pulled my ear back and saw the dried, flaking skin. I put ointment there and it cleared up in a couple of days.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

I only experienced dried flaking skin if I used B&B Pump it
Up Spritz not with Surge.
I started applying the Surge with my fingers instead of spraying it on the sides of my hair and on my hairline.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

I've been using it for 1 month without any side affects. I use it twice per day spraying it on my scalp. Some of us might be allergic to one or more of the ingredients and a good idea not to use it if this happens.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

I've been using it for about 2 weeks and it's been okay so far...I was worried because I usually have a sensitive scalp. I've been lightly moisturizing my scalp with my braid sheen after using it so maybe it's conteracting the harsh ingredients.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

It tore up the skin at the nape of my neck. It felt as if I had burned or cut my neck.
Tonya, use an anitbiotic cream or A&D ointment to clear it up and to soothe those ears. I've been there.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

Wow, certain things definitely do irritate the skin. When I was around 12, I started using some kind of spritz a lot on my hair, my ears ended up looking just like Boadicea's did, and they hurt very bad. You just have to be careful, I have not had any bad effects yet from Surge, but then again I do not use it consistantly. I hate to hear that people are experiencing problems.........

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

Yup my hairline is dry and crispy. So I decided to layoff a week then instead of twice a day, I'll do it once every other day and instead of spraying I'll use a cotton ball. I was spraying like crazy woman and it got me good, but it works.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

I been using it for nearly three weeks now and I have no problems so far. I rinse twice daily and I put my castor/olive oil mix on my scalp and hair line.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

I was doing daily conditioner washes with it. I want to contiinue but only if I can prevent my ears form looking like this.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

Well I was putting it on like a Jerhi Curl wearing spraying activator

. Got a little carried away. It's only on the edges, the rest of my hair scalp feels okay.

Re: Surge mad my hair grow but......

How long does it take before you see some results, I am transitioning and would like to use it on my hair and my childs (9 yrs old)
