Your hair looks fantastic in your latest pic. Does your hair usually grow to this length? It's lovely.

It's funny you posted this because I was just looking at her picture gallery.

Supergirl you have beautiful hair! I love it!

I kid you not Serena--about 2 hours ago I was just wondering where you were and why I hadn't seen you on the board lately

Hey girl

Actually, my hair is the longest it has ever been right now

Thank you for noticing. And thanks Mikki too

Hairlove,

You and Sherrylove (both loves, how cute) have my goal length. I love the length in your pics from when you went to the Egyptian Salon:) So thanks for encouraging and INSPIRING me

Supergirl: I was off the board for about three weeks (pc problems). I signed back in on Thursday morning, so I missed all the angst of The Great LHCF Crash of 2003.

It's soo inspirational to hear you say that your hair is at its longest ever length right now. That gives me fresh encouragement to persevere in trying to coax my hair past its comfort zone!

Wow, Supergirl, your hair is getting super long
laugh.gif
, that is a lot of growth from earlier this year, keep up the good work

Oh it will definitely get past it's comfort zone, but that's when you really have to buckle down and make those short term sacrifices. I know that your hair is pretty long already so of course you have long hair potential. Make your hair happy & it will make you happy

CH - In her profile (click on her name).

Supergirl - your hair looks absolutely gorgeous. The length is stunning and it looks like it's retaining its thickness.

You betta work, soror!

Superhair aka Supergirl, your hair never ceases to blow my mind. Can't believe it's still growing.

I love looking at Supergirl's album. So inspirational
smile.gif
You've really done a great job retaining your growth. Just look at the difference between, say, February and this month. Amazing!

Wow Supergirl! You are definitely a source for inspiration. I just read your profile on the Feature of the Month. What type of protective styles do you wear?

Keep on doing what you are doing but it is definitely working.

Your hair is really gorgeous. I would love for my hair to one day reach that length...I think I'd have a permanently plastered smile on my face and everyone would say, "She sure has some pretty hair, but why is she always grinning like an idiot!"

Re: Supergirl...same regime

I was just wondering is your regime the same as it was in your feature of the month article or have you changed it any? How often do you use your ceramic iron?

Thanx in advance!
smile.gif

*edited to add: How long was your hair when you first started out?

Re: Supergirl...same regime

Girl,

You know my regimen changes every day
laugh.gif

Nah, right now it's more like this:

*shampoo every 5-7 days with a very moisturizing 'poo(Design Essentials Moisture Retention, Elucence MB, Elasta CC, Aveda Sap Moss)
*Clarify as needed(Pantene or Keracare 1st Lather)
*every 1st & 2nd shampoo, I use Pantene R&N for about 5 minutes while still in the shower
*every 3rd shampoo, I do a "treatment" depending on what my hair is telling me it needs at that time. It could be protein or moisture or both.
Protein: My major protein treatment is Joico K-Pak, My minor protein is Motions Moisture Silk Protein Conditioner. I follow K-Pak with the Joico MC & I usually follow the Motions with a hot oil (L'Oreal Nature's Therapy or ION)

Moisture: Goldwell Kerasilk or Definition are the main ones (as of now) but of course that could change in 5 minutes. I also like the Regis Hydrating Balm that Sterry mentioned in her thread
smile.gif
and Kenra MC

Moisture & Strength:

A combination of Nexxus Humectress and Keraphix w/ a few drops of Nexxus Botanic Oils.

Angie K's Elucence/Kenra Super Moisture Combo (Elucence EMR and MB + Kenra Intensive Emollient)

Miss Key diez y uno(10 en 1)

For my ends: Keracare Essential Oils & Protective Styles
For the rest of my hair: Jojoba oil and Profectiv Break-free & on occassion Wave Nouveau Finishing Lotion

Re: Supergirl...same regime

Oh and as for my hair length when I first started out--well I won't take you back into my childhood
laugh.gif
But I didn't have long hair as a child. I remember it getting to around shoulder length in 5th grade and then losing lots of it to scissory happy stylists and my own dumb damage (put Sun-In to lighten it in 7th grade)

It's been past shoulder length since about 10th grade. I had it cut between my sophomore and junior year in college. I've been growing it from about chin length since 1997*, yet not with the excellent care that I've given it over the last few years in particular.

*Edited to add: I can't say that I gained alot of length from Summer 1999 to Summer 2002. During that time, I experienced bouts with 3(COUNT 'EM 3) SHS's.
