Sulfate-Free Shampoo Disaster!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi LHCFer's!

I need some help, info something!!!!!

I have a friend that used a sulfate-free shampoo called "Royal Roots"

It made her hair FALL OUT IN CLUMPS! She had a nice full afro (4c,d--ish)
and her ends are now thin.

Also since this experience she now needs a trim.

Does anybody have any info on why this happened, and a trustworthy salon to get a trim???????

That's crazy! Do you know what the ingredients were?

OP, you may want to advise her to see a doctor (dermatologist) and take the bottle with her. They may be able to test the pH and a few other things and see what may have caused it. Also, depending on what was in it that caused this problem, there could be some residual damage from this.

The bottle could have been a bad batch, or if it was not sealed, someone could have added something to it that caused this to happen.

Yikes, that's scary! What are the ingredients? Some of these so-called "natural" and sulfate-free shampoos are beyond suspect. I haven't had a good experience with one yet myself.
