SUGGESTION FOR GREAT WATER-BASED CREME MOISTURIZER

i like profective megagrowth lotion as well as the carrot and olive oil creams by hollywood. if you get the hollywood creams, buy them at walgreens. its only 3 bucks and comes with a free small jar of cholesterol deep condition. profectpive has a lighter consistency and smells the best out of the 3, but i like to keep them all in rotation as well as mix them together to suit my needs. :)

any suggestions?

Cosign on that ORS olive oil creme--- in the jar! The lotion sucks. :lachen:

I've also recently come across Mane N Tail's moisturizers-- the carrot oil and the olive oil creme. They are very light, like a whipped consistency or something and they are very moisturizing! Cheap too!

I'm gonna have to check that out. I even saw a creme of nature moisturizer the other day in the bss, i had to do a double take.

Really! CON has one too now? I was shocked that the MNT moisturizers weren't protein heavy. They really are pretty nice!

The lotion is nothing but liquid grease really. It's basically Pink Oil the remix. :lachen:

The ORS in the jar is the much better actual moisturizer, though they have been messing around with the ingredients lately. They were making a mineral oil free one for awhile, but I think they've gone back to the old mineral oil one again. Many of the jar formulas do have mineral oil, but the bottle has mineral, petrolatum, and a whole bunch of other coating ingredients. The jar is pricier for a reason.

I used it once and then started using it as lotion for my feet. :lachen:

ORS in the bottle or the jar, Hollywood carrot oil, suave humectant and profectiv all work great for me.

Thanks Sistaslick. :drowning:

I use Suave Humectant or Salerm.

I was using ORS olive oil in the jar... it's aiight, used to
be a staple but Suave & Salerm work better for me.

ORS olive oil in the bottle... was WHACK!!! I will never buy that again. :nono:

MNT sent me samples of the creams when I emailed them.

I asked for samples and they sent me some.

I was not that impressed with them myself, but they are okay.

My favorite moisturizers have to be ordered unfortunatly: Sunrise Products Hair Souffle, Qhemet Biologics Olive Cream or Heavy Cream, Aveda Universal Stylign Cream (although this one can be picked up at Aveda.)

I hae nto had much luck with regular BSS moisturizers. For some reason, I have to keep applyign them. With my favorites, I don't really have to apply daily.

thanx so much for everyone's replies. i went for a jog and came back to search for my thread and was surprised to see 2 pgs. yay! i'm surprised so many of u are rooting for this product. i actually have it but i haven't used it since last year november because i thought it wasn't doing anything for me. but back then i was having protein overload so it probably wasn't doing anything for me, cuz my hair wasn't balanced. so i think im going to start using it again and i'll let u guys know how it progresses.

p.s. i have the waterbased one, in the jar. no mineral oil :)
