I love this style! Do you think it will be easy to acheive this style starting with a roller set? Also it looks like the front is loose flat twists.... I wonder if this would work as well with wash and go curls? I'd like your opinions and suggestions. Thanks!

i have done this before but it is better on longer hair like yours. i got quite a frizzy mess but i attribute that to inappropriate moisturising. go for it!wash and go vs roller set option depends on if u want a tidy look or a carefree, casual look.

I vote rollerset. For the simple fact that you'll already have the curls you want once the rollers are taken out and then you can simply just concentrate on the front twists, which are done quite loosely, which means less hassle.

With the rollerset the style will last longer too. Unless you are just planning on wearing short term, I think you daily rinse, if I read correctly on other post.

If I rollerset I don't do the daily rinse. It's 2-3 times a week then. I like the look it would have with a rollerset. I think I'll try it when I want to do a rollerset but know the weather will cause the curls in the front to 'droop'. If they droop in the back it won't be as noticible. I'm also not sure how to finish the twists in back...

When I've had flat twists, each one was finished with black rubber bands (I know, I know rubber bands) when I took the style down, I cut the bands out carefully.

I have worn this style both ways....on wet hair (with rollers in the back) & after rollersetting.

If u want "more volume" in your flat twists (like in the pic), then definitely go for rollersetting. Rollersetting will add the necessary "height / volume" to the front hair, then all u have to do is "lightly" single twist it back.

If u try this on "wet" hair, the flat twists are gonna lay down pretty close to your scalp (no volume) but its really cute that way too
