i would like to know any tips to keep my hair from breaking without getting a touch up for another month or so.

i'm 12+ weeks post.

What works for me is...
-Deep Conditioning
-wearing protective styles like buns and phony ponys
-the "scarf method"! :yep:
-and being gentle with your hair to minimize the stress between the two textures

Try doing a search and I'm sure you'll find a wealth of information on stretching. HTH and HHG ;)

I'm am stretching also i'm either 13 or 14 weeks post i plan to relax this weekend i like stretching this is my second attempt the first time was using the C & G method my hair was shedding and breaking i did some things like used atone reconstructor and h2o nighttime and it has helped but last deep con i lost a lot of hair either because i was'nt detangling right (with two combs) or because it's time to relax i put moisture on my length i am having less broken pieces so maybe it was that i did'nt get out all the shedded and broken pieces

I'm 4 a/b i think i'll perm every 10 to 12 weeks

what works for me was to deep condition often like every week. and of course keeping the demarcation line moist.

For me, deep conditioning regularly, moisturizing daily and minimal to low manipulation. I usually put in braids when I stretch which is usually at week 8 or 9 post relaxer to let my hair rest and minimize manipulation.

yep, what she said!! except I deep condition twice a week... but IMO there will always be some breakage.. the key is minimizing it.
