"Honestly, Truly"
Hi ladies, I need a bit of guidance.

I semi-blow dried my hair to twist it on this occasion, but don't want to blow dry more than maybe 4 times a year.

I know some use roller sets to stretch the hair while it air drys, but can you explain exactly what this is and what I need to buy?

Any advice much appreciated.

I wanna know this too. By the way Char, I saw your album and your twists are so pretty! I want mine to streach like that without blowdrying too.

You can band your hair. If done right it can come out better than blowdried hair.

Depending on your hair texture, you can pull it back into two low pontails or wrap it to dry.

CharUk, girl again I am loving your twist!
In sections, apply ponytail holders for roots to ends.

I braid my hair to stretch it out. After it airdries, I unravel the braids and comb through. Then I put my hair into two-strand twists. But shrinkage is inevitable for me.

I always hear about banding but it seems like too much manipulation to me for some reason... putting all those bands on sections of hair and then taking them all out after it's dry... I'm afraid to do it on my hair. I don't know why...

Anyway, I would like to know about rollersetting stretching the hair too. But my hair is too short right now to rollerset.

I tried banding my twists and my hair was all over the place. is there anyway to control the direction of the hair?

:( It wouldn't let me open your picture, but thanks anyways!;)

I always wondered what banding was, I hear alot of people mention it.

I've never tried banding, but I get good stretchage by doing big twists or braids and allowing my hair to dry that way.

That has been working for me as well. Makes a BIG difference.

I also recommend banding.

When I want a "straighter" look (I'm trying to stay away from heat) I wash my hair and part it down the middle. Then I apply , Humectress as my leave in and seal it with a generous amount of avocado butter.

I take three or four scrunchies for each side and I made a low pontytail on each side, "banding" the hair with scrunchies along the length. Then I take a big claw clip and clip both ponytails together in the back. It takes about a day and a half for my hair to dry like this but it is sooo silky and soft when it's dry!

If I wamt a curlier look I apply my Humectress and avocado butter and then put my hair in two braids.

Sometimes I alternate the Humectress as a leave in with either NTM leave in or Aveda Elixer.

THanks for all the replies! :) Looks like Banding is the way to go..

I'm going to give it a try next time round.

Den1 I couldn't open your pics either.
