I have a problem: what to do with my damn hair after the gym!

Once I have some new growth, as soon as the sweat hits it, it immediately reverts, so there's no point in flatironing. What other cute things can I do with my hair, cause I'm tired of buns, and I'm kinda scared to put my fall in my hair at the gym (don't want the white girls pointing and whispering).

HELP!

Have you considered braidouts, twisouts, and textured looks?

Also, do you have to have straight hair or just flat hair? I don't care if my hair is straight, but I do like it flat so I workout with a scarf on and leave it on until any sweat has dried. Then I take it off and style as usual. My hair never gets frizzy and unruly with the scarf on.

I am almost 3 months post and I am in cornrowed braids right now but I think that I am only going to get 2 weeks use of them.

Ditto, the scarf really saves me at the gym. I work out 3 days, and swim on one day. The day I swim, I wash my hair.

I usually wear my hair in a tangled mass of curls when I go to the gym, so that way, even though I sweat out my hair, it's less noticable. Not sure if that is helpful.

I've also found that wrapping my hair with a scarf helps - it catches a lot of the sweat.

Finally, you might try a sweatband/headband. It looks lame, but it helps keep the edges straight.

C/S on the scarf as well! It keeps my hair in place and prevents my hair from curling up.

ITA with the sweatband...sometimes I can roll my satin triangle into a headband and it helps.
