I like when I slick my hair back and have lil waves but when I brush to smooth they disapper...I put my scarf on and I can feel them underneath but I don't see them on top.

So my question is how do you make those waves more defined in your everyday/protective or whatever styles?

okay for the LONGEST i've been wondering how to get waves too and i'm all-natural, but when i brush my hair back into a puff the waves disappear. :look:

i just figured out how to do this... i pulled my hair back one day and it was a bit too tight (hair was wet) so i put my head in my hands and was trying to squish the hair forward a bit (gently slide it out of the holder without taking my hair down, yes i'm lazy  ). and i noticed my hair was no longer smoothed back, but slightly wavy from the indentations of my fingers. so i did it a few more times all over my head and FINALLY - i got waves :yep:

When I used to stretch I made sure my hair was as flat as possible so I would have to brush it back to slick it in a ponytail. I used to do the Sylver's Scarf Method to lay my new growth down and when it dried I had waves. Pics of the Scarf Method are in my album.
