I am a 4-B and I can stretch my relaxers, but I only wear protective styles like the ones in the link in my signature. I never wear my hair down.

1. I keep my hair moisturized and baggy on a daily basis.
2. I only comb when I conditioner wash.
3. I use S-Curl texturizer spray on my new growth:D :D :D (This is the best thing that you can do while stretching)
4. I conditioner wash to help my new growth stay moisturized
5. I deep condition for the same reasons
6. I am gentle with my hair
7. I use a satin scarf to help my new growth lay down...It usually dries in a wavy pattern.

I hope this helps. Like I said I am a 4-B and the last time I stretched for 13 weeks this time it will be for 14 weeks.

Right now I am on week 10:D

Hi,
I relax twice a year. I usually deep conditoner 1 to 2 times a week. I use a heating cap for an hour and then sleep with it on at night and wash in the morning with conditioner. I do conditioner washes everyday and that has helped alot. I only comb my hair the shower under the water from the ends to the top. Then I put it in a pony tail and bun with my my pony tail completely coverd with conditoner or deep conditoner and then I do the baggie method and wear a headband wig.
The conditioners that I use are infusium 23, dove, silk elements, suave or mane and tail. I like to apply glycerine in it with oil. The oils that I like are emu, olive, coconut, grapeseed, vitamin e, or wheat germ. I also spray my hair throughout the day with a mixture of glycerine, conditoner, rose water, honey, a little oil, infusium 23, s-curl, and care free curl. If you dont have all the products sometimes I just put the rose water, glycerin, oil, honey, and conditioner. It will keep your hair soft. I also use this mixture when I have extensions. HTH
