Stray gold hairs...Who else with Dark hair has these..

I have dark brown/Black hair with a few stray white strands (yeah, yeah..i know i'm getting old) mixed in. But i also have 2 odd gold strands of hair. My white strands are really short--about 4 inches at the most, but the gold strands are the full lenth of my hair. Anyone else have stray gold strands? Does it mean i'm gonna have good luck or anything?? I'm all for good superstition /images/graemlins/rofl.gif tell me it's something good. TIA -- jainygirl

I don't know if it's good, but I have the same thing, but a lot more. I first noticed them when my friend was playing with my hair and asked me if I had gotten highlights. I told her that I had never put any type of color in my hair. I am guessing it's damage or something from using no lye perms, but I really don't know. I have a lot of them and they are mostly in the front covering the full length of my hair as well. I have ignored them since there is nothing I can do, but I love the fact that I have some highlights. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have red streaks all in my hair. At first I thought it was from the sun but my Dad told me it was hereditary. I think he was lying tho..LOL. I think its cute sometimes but other times I think it looks liek a bad dye job. I also have 3 or 4 gray hairs-thats from my dad. He started to get gray in his 20's. /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif

My sister is not into getting her hair done. She just gets relaxers that are usually don eby my mother...no styles, no color, no baids, no nothings. Her hair is prety long too. It i shighlighted all over....light brown full strands. Most of her hair is dark, but then she has these highlights.

I don't know what to tell ya, but I noticed one of these myself--not gray, but blonde! I had to show my husband it was so strange to me. It is in my bang and the same length. Weird...I thought of yanking it and then just said, nah! I hope that it is not a prelude to graying!

my daughter has brown hair but she has those and some that are pure white maybe they r grey either way she has them I used to have a patch of grey when i was about 8 but it is gone..........wierd

Yes, I have had one or two strands of golden hair all of my life! It freaks me out!

I have a few of them that are located in the crown area. My mother noticed them one day when she was braiding my hair. My hair has a natural tendency to lighten up to a deep brown in the summer. Maybe I have a few "sensitive" strands, if you can to call them that.

I have gold strands, red strands, and white strands on my head mixed with my dark brown hair. It is hereditary for me. My grandmother had reddish-gold hair.

I have red streaks in my hair, but you can only see them if my hair is pull up toward the crown. My daugther has them too. I also have a few short white pieces. /images/graemlins/frown.gif
