stinky homemade stuff works so good... but the smell!!!!

Soooo....
I've been mixing my own condish.. My hair has been sooooo soft! Like amazingly so... But then...
Why do I have to also smell like God's green earth all day???
Ugh...
What do yall do to make ur hair smell nice if you condish with natural/ homemade stuff

try using an essential oil; All you need is a few drops

^^^ITA. Peppermint oil is a good one if you like that smell. There are many many to choose from. Maybe adding a strong smelling conditioner to the mix like VS So Sexy or AO HSR. I can always smell those on my hair over and above anything else I used for days!

I mix my own conditioner, too, but two of my ingredients are molasses powder and marshmallow root powder, both (separately) which make my concoctions smell like gingerbread. On the day I use it, I have to put it way back on the counter because my cocker spaniel keep trying to jump up and knock it off the counter. It smells that yummy...

I add orange and grapefruit and jasmine essential oils to my homemade spritz just a couple of drops. They are balancing EOs and they smell good, too.
