yes it can..when I DC with it, I always put olive oil or some moisture of some sort with it, i use to use the shampoo on a regular basis..but not anymore..bc I def had a protein overload!!

I DC weekly with Aveda Damage Remedy...and my hair loves it!
I would give up my jessica simpson shoe collection before I stop using ADR!:yep:

Pink, in your weekly dc are you using the conditioner or the intensive treatment? Also, for whichever one you are using, how many treatments do you get out of one tube?

I DC with the intensive treatment because I use heat on the regular. One bottle lasts me 3 months.

i have the shampoo and conditioner. i hated the conditioner so i stopped using both. but i am almost out of my aphogee shampoo and am out of joico k pak shampoo so i will be using the aveda shampoo because i remember liking it but once i use it up i will not be buying the shampoo nor conditioner. the only aveda product i love is brilliant conditioner.

Yup, I bought the big one so I don't really have a choice anyway. Luckily, I like it. It's not as strengthening as I thought it would be, but it's a great combo of protein and moisture. I've only used it three times since I've bought it though (which was a year ago). I like it, don't think I'll repurchase after it's finished, certainly not a big one anyway.

I use the Aveda Damage Remedy Shampoo and Treatment weekly with no problems.
I dont like the Aveda Damage Remedy Conditioner it's not thick enough and not moisturise my hair.
I use Nexxus Humectin Conditioner which has similar ingredients to Aveda with quinoa protein and the moisture and slip makes your hair feel like butter, plus it much cheaper on the pocket book.

I use the intensive treatment and still like it but I don't use it weekly because it's so expensive. One bottle probably gives me 8-10 treatments.

Just used it this past weekend. I don't use it weekly because I really love my Domincan cond for weekly washes. It is still one of my favs.

I don't like Damage Remedy. I:nono: shelled out the 50 for the shampoo conditioner combo and it really did nothing. It was a serious let down. I think that if the shampoo had sulfates it would have prepped my hair better for the conditioner, but it really didn't meet my expectations. I used it for a month every time I shampooed (about 2 times a week). I've now switched to Mizani. I'm going to try more products for OUR hair because I've been getting results that way.:drunk:

I agree...big time. The aveda shampoo and conditioner didn't do anything great for me.- I was expecting more. I have gone back to sulfate shampoos which have been spectacular for me.

The protein overload thing is going to be very dependent on what you do to your hair on a regular basis, not just the product. The Aveda dr IMO is good protein for a nice balance of both and you don't need to leave it on all day. I have actually found with al of my aveda products that they work better when use as directed. I leave the DR on for 10 minutes tops. Quinoa protein is high in cysteine and with it being a vegetable protein, it is very beneficial to the hair.

Can I have the rest of yours?

I have used Damage Remedy consistently for around 2 years and I have had no problems, I love it. I recently added the Dry Remedy to my rotation (I'm not sure if I love the treatment as much) I prefer the Dry Remedy shampoo though.

Ok I finally tried this, I recieved a sample tube a long time ago and forgot about it...anyway, I love it! Its thick, and it left my hair feeling soft and strong at the same time. I didnt get much slip, but I can fix that with some EVCO. So I'm putting that on my christmas wish list

I have been using this combo since they did it for me at the Aveda Salon when I started to get my hair coloured over there. I put some of the damage remedy conditioner on my hair and then also a bit of the dry remedy conditioner and it really does the trick. I am too spoilt on this conditioner to use anything else. I wash my hair once a week and since my hair is fine textured I don't do this deep conditioning treatment anyway I leave my conditioner in for ten minutes and wash it out.

Best,
Almond Eyes

Yes and I love it. It helps me maintain my curls after I've flatironed it to death when I'm doing the straight hair look.
I just conditioned this morning in the shower with it.
I love it although I hate the price:wallbash:

I love the DR set! Its on my Christmas list. I use the treatment as a leave in on my natural 4b hair and I've had no problems just soft unbreakable hair.

I love DR, it's expensive but very worth it. I just know I'm working with a quality product when I use it; and I use it weekly too with no problems. When buying these type of high end salon lines, I never buy the conditioner, always just the shampoo and the treatment. It's not an overly strong protein but it works for me.
