out of desperation, and my ends are moisturized and not breaking for the first time in ages. I tried the vaseline for a while and many conditioners (rinse out and leave-in) to no avail and this stuff actually works for me (KNOCK ON WOOD). I may very well try the root health come touch-up time. I think I finally found something that will be in my "collection" from here on out. Anyone else use this stuff? If your ends continue to break and are dry, no matter what you do, you might want to give it a go...

I used Profectiv breakfree and it's the only thing that really moisturises my ends...it is a little greasy but it does the job..

I haven't tried any of their other products though..

i love this product. it works really well at keeping my ends moist. i use this instead of vaseline for the baggy method

i just started using it. i think i may be using too much. im testing it on my twists.
however, i cant rave enough about kemi oyl shea butter pomade for moisture.

Im thinking about using some of Profectiv's products but those little containers cost too much for me right now. Im going to wait until I run out of my oils and other things I use to protect my ends before getting some...plus Im trying to avoid becoming a PJ!

I have some. I do like it because it's not too wet and it moisturizes, smoothes and gives my hair shine. It's a little heavy so a little goes a long way.

i use mega growth, healthy ends & a third one. I use each one all over my head for moisture, not specific areas. THey are great. I only use them when wearing protective styles.

I wouldn't use it on braids, it's too thick and could build up...It's better to use something lighter.

I used Healthy ends when it first came out and have not gone back to it because it was too heavy for me. It works great on my mother. She uses it on her ends when she air drys.

I love their Break Free!

I just used it last night after a respite. Works great to keep the ends moisturized for protective styles like someone else mentioned.

I'll continue to use the jar I've been using off and on. I came back to it last night after giving it a rest for a little bit.

Where can I find Profectiv products? Regular beauty-supply stores?

my ends are STILL not breaking. I LOVE this stuff. Not ONE broken end since I've started. I am going to try the breakfree as well. OH, and I use it for protective styles but I almost smoothed some on my ends when I wore my hair down and it seemed to coat the ends just enough to not allow the friction of my clothes to dry them out. I really am glad I gave this product a try...

I was afraid of it being too greasy, but it really does the job for me. Maybe a little extra oil is what my ends needs..

I don't see why you couldn't...if they're dry...

For those that love the breakfree, please tell me what it is about it? I have never tried it, but I need to see if they even carry it at our BX..

I use the Break Free, Healthy Ends, and the Growth-N-Healing for my edges. They are a little costly but they are worth it. If I can't get the Break Free I use the cantu
shea soft break cure.

I just recently bought Profective break-free and mega-growth jars. I've only had them a week and I try to use one or the other everyday on my hair. The mega-growth is way thicker than the b-f, but it seems as if both are doing the job...there's not as much hair in the sink as last week!

Yep, besides the website Poohbear mentioned, I usually buy mine at the local BSS. Walmart carries some of their stuff along with the Family Dollar Store, Target, CVS, Rite Aid, etc., etc.

I alternate between, Mega Grow, Healthy ends, and Breakfree. I love them all equally. Breaking hasnt stopped completely, but it does keep my ends moisturized
