Sta-Sof-fro or SCurl??

I prefer S-curl no drip because it has a thicker consistency so it doesn't drip and it doesn't smell like a strange cologne like Sta-sof-fro does.

I didn't even get to scurl, cuz Sta-so-fro does such an awesome job of moisturizing my hair (even 9 week post relaxer) that I've just stuck with it. I can't keep my hands out of my hair. It's so soft.

i don't think any one is better than the other. it's all about preference in terms of scent and consistency. as long as glycerine is one of the main ingredients, almost any of them will do.

I used S-curl once and then I tried the sta-sof-fro and never looked back. It keeps my hair moisturized all day long and makes my hair so soft. It's on my top 5 must-have products!

S-Curl for me. Saw the bottle fof the sta sof fro and gave it a little shake too watery for me.

I love both!!! I like the smell of SCurl better than STa-Sof-Fro, but the softening is better with SSF! I love them both though and even use them together often. It's great for a transitioner or someone who is stretching out relaxers! Excellent! I think the SSF is more softening and the SCurl more moisturizing - both are things my hair needs!

I just purchased SSF on Saturday, did a conditioner wash with Pantene S&S and used thee SSF and WOW!! My hair is soft as cotton - and I am a 4A natural. It is still soft and moisturized too! I am glad I discovered these two products!!! Thanks Girls!!!
The only problem is that the SSF dulls out my fingernail polish. Maybe I'll try the SCurl but I dont know about that smell!

Sta-Sof-Fro for sure. I'll have to dilute it with some water to avoid getting my hair sticky, but it softens my hair and helps me comb through/detangle. I love it, and I refuse to be without it!

S-curl made my relaxed hair too soft. It was melting off my head. I gave the S-curl to my boyfriend who has natural rather dry hair.

Thanks for replying ladies. I had been using Scurl to help with stretching out my relaxer and it works great, but I decided to try SSF and I think I may like it even better. I may add some water to dilute it a bit to help with the stickiness.

Sta-Sof-Fro is a keeper for me! My bdb's are starting to fill in at the nape of my neck since I started using this about a month ago.

Great point MegonW!!! I noticed something similar. When I used SSF when I was relaxed and trying to remain that way, I thought it was better on my hair than the Scurl. But now that I'm transitioning, I'm finding I'm almost liking the Scurl better because I'll do a roller set, then spray it directly on my new growth and girl................my newgrowth hair is soft as can be and the comb glides right throught both textures easily and I'm also a 4A!!! Amazing huh?? These are both excellent products!! I need to buy lots of both and always have them on hand!!

here, here!

sta-sof fro for relaxed AND natural hair. just recently relaxed (two days ago) the ssf was a throwback from my two years of natchull 4b hair! lol

I prefer the consistency and the smell of s-curl to sta-sof. Plus, I had a curl way back in the day and I don't want any flashbacks to that!

So, I am sticking to s-curl, though I am tempted to try a little sta-sof...Maybe they still make those little trial size bottles that were around way back when...

ITA, iuse this one too, keeps hair soft and moisterized

I've used S-Curl for the longest. I finally got around to trying S-S-F, and I think my hair is easier to comb, has more moisture and less build-up than with S-Curl. It lasts longer too. I think I'll go back to S-Curl during the colder months though.

Sta-Sof-Fro works fine, but there are two things I don't like about it. One is that is has protein, and I don't want to be spraying my hair with protein everyday. The other thing I don't like is the smell. It reminds me of old lady perfume or something. I don't know. Just don't like it. But it does work pretty well. I like S-curl A LOT. I love the consistency, which is less watery than SSF. S-Curl also does not have a strong, perfumy smell.

Lately, however, I've been using avocado butter and trying to stay away from both S-Curl and SSF due to the parabens in these products. But I really do miss my S-Curl, and I'm hoping I can whip up a concoction that works just as well, since I think it is the glycerine that is the main factor.

I use Sta-sof-fro it works fine for me, it detangles my hair and helps the comb glide through with ease. I have never used S- Curl maybe I will give it a try also.
