I love the style and was looking to get them, however, I'm not paying anyone $350 for anything hair related. I was considering doing them myself, I'm also tired of doing my own protective styles.

Would you DIY or go to a salon?

I'm going to follow these tutorials above and try it this week. I will post pics if I succeed lol

You can do it! They are not hard to do at all. I tried, but the coiled hair kept tangling with my own coiled hair so I called it quites.

This is my favorite braided extension style of all! It looks so elegant and natural. I have seen a couple tutorials for doing this with the crochet hook and I’ve wanted to try it for weeks but I just haven’t had the time. I have two packs of this hair in M4/30: https://www.hattache.com/products/nafy-collection-new-nubian-spring-bomb-twist-hair

I had them professionally installed once before but the lady pulled my hair so tight and put in so much extra hair that it made me look like a lion muppet. I had to go back in and take out most of the hair on the top and redo the twists myself. This was before I saw any of these tutorials however, so I struggled immensely to grip the root and it took me hours and hours to fix. Ugh. Never again.

Please do come back and show us your results if you try it!! :)
