I have large KBs now (16), takes so much less time to braid! This is how I will braid my hair routinely :)

Since they are larger, I will not do water rinses to keep them neat. This shouldn't hinder progress since I'll being doing more Ayurvedic treatments and taking them down every 1 to 3 weeks

Will moisten them with Aloe Spray for moisture between washes

Been washing daily since about July 6. I don't have to do as much to keep my hair moisturized since it basically gets moisturized all the time.
This is what I experienced in March/April when I was co washing daily. I loved it!

It's hard to keep up with a busy schedule

Going to try and see how I can incorporate this again :)

I did these late last night and did not do fresh parts why it looks a tad messy in the back. The front has smaller braids and neater. Will apply flax gel later to make it neater
19 Braids

I love larges KBs! :heart3:

I have applied Henna and bentonite clay treatments. Washed hair, then took them out one by one before redoing them which has helped sooooo much on time! :)

Ends are protected and no breakage, this is perfect for retaining length. Used Aloe Gel then Vasaline on ends to seal in moisture while in large KBs

Going to try and post a neater take in the back when I do them again :)

I'm checking our weather forecasts here, and it seems like its almost spring for us. Let me gear up to start the challenge this coming weekend. For me, this will last until April when we will be heading into Autumn again. I will be doing some form of a wash and go afro puff, and if I do protective style it will be wet twists. Until around Christmas, when I will get my holiday style. I hope this will boost my hair growth, which has been very minimal this winter. I think I managed to only get back to my pre-trim length from April, which is an inch or so of growth.

Hiiiiee, late to the challenge, totally forgot about LHCF because I was sporting a low cut for about 6 years. now Im growing out my hair again.
doing mini twists. Will take a pic so I can track for the remainder of the month.

happy growing and retention for all !!!
