I saw this in walgreens and it claims to get split ends before the split all the way up your head. It claims to do so without reducing so much length. Has anyone used this? I asked for it for an after christmas gift and I want to know if it does some of what it says. You can go to the walgreens website and look it up if you are interested.

I saw one in Big Lots on clearance for $10. It is supposed to be better than clipping your ends, but to be honest with you, I was afraid of it! (knowing me, I would be likely mess up some stuff and end up cutting more than split ends)

Let us know how it works....

Being the HUGE PJ I am, I bought the stupid thing about a year and a half ago. DON'T BOTHER!

Why? First off, your hair will snag in all the little crevices. Second, the blades in it are dull as hell and cannot be sharpened. So, instead of a nice, clean cut on your hair, you get hacked and ripped...which leads to even more split ends.

This is the DUMBEST invention ever! Invest your $$ on a good pair of hair shears and dust away...

Sassy,

I kid you not, I saw the ad for the split ender in the Walgreens circular about 2-3 weeks ago. Anyway, I wanted to ask everyone here what they thought (just like you). But I did some research first and went to the website. It seemed like a good idea until I saw a little disclaimer stating that it may not work on all hair types. That was it for me, I had no reason to even ask all the lovely folk here at LHCF b/c my hair is too precious to be experimenting. Thanks for letting me know I was not the only one who considered that device.

I started to post about this about three weeks ago. Have anyone used it? I have been looking for it. I know about it already. The older models take off 1/8 of an inch the newer models take off 1/4 of an inch. Let me know what y'all know think... I wrote the company and asked about how it worked on the all hair especially black hair and they said it worked. The hair had to be straight and you may have to use smaller sections. Then they were like there was a money back guarantee. I think I will pass.

Dont do it, you'll regret it, it will cut random hairs on your head that may not be split and cut them high up. I REPEAT DONT BUY IT, OR USE IT
