Can anyone explain to me what my curls are and what is the difference? I want to try Blended Beauty products but they have the recommendations broken down into categories I don't understand :/

I just went to the site and I see what you mean. They don't make it easy, do that? My guess is that you have "corkscrew" curls because yours are bigger than mine. Are you like a 3c/4a type? I am likely considered "spiral" because I'm like 4a/4b and have a ton of pen coil strands.

I think the difference is that spirals are looser and "open" and corkscrews are tighter and "closed". Here are some pictures to explain what I mean

So the confusion continues, lol. I'm not sure what my type is.... My curl size (on most of my head) matches a regular drinking straw or yellow skinny pencil which I think is 4A but who knows....some of the curls are larger and more loose. I gave up on that already.

My hair tends to start wavy at the root then an open S for most of the length then closed at the end....so like the typing and texture and density, I've got too much going on here.

By pen coil do you mean the little spring inside? Then maybe we are the same. I took a pic with the pen spring. Which product group would you fall into?

Yours are looser than the pen coil so I think in the case of that website you'd likely be considered corkscrew. My hair is about the size of that pen coil, perhaps a little larger in some areas but I think is be spiral based on that site. Maybe you should shoot them a quick email or reach them in instagram and see if they can give you better info.
