I know sally's is one of them. I have the mentality now, that if I cannot get it from sally's I aint buyin it, because I love that they give that option with no questions asked.

All authorized salon retailers have to let you return products that you don't like:

Trade Secrets
JcPenny
Wal-Mart Salon
Super Cuts ... etc.

They don't advertise it but they have to accept returns.

Aveda will let you return (with your receipt). Even if you used it down to a tsp.

Smart Style (walmart salon)

Walmart of course

Krogers

Walgreens.

I know at Regis on returns you only get a salon credit, no cash or credit card refunds.
I buy some products from Nordstrom and they have a great return policy

Yep girl! BUT it has to be a brand that they sell.

what do you mean a brand that they sale...like a store brand or just the brands that they carry?

Sorry I meant to say sell. I mean they will take returns only from brands that they have in the store.

wow, I think i tried to take something back to walmart once, but it was opened and used just a tiny tiny bit, and they wouldnt take it back

Really? That's so surprising. I have taken stuff back without a receipt and they took it with no questions asked and gave me cash back too. :look:

The customer service nazi must have been on duty the day you went!

I believe that Wal-Mart now utilizes a system that records your drivers license number when you make a return without a recepit. So, you may only be able to get away with doing a couple of returns before they require that you have a receipt. That may not apply to all stores though???

I have gotten really good about keeping my reciepts. Not just for hair products, but all of my purchases. I put a ziploc baggie in my purse that I automatically place all of my receipts into. That way, I am not tempted to empty out my wallet without carefully checking all of my receipts when it starts bursting at the seams with paper.

Some places like Target, have gotten EXTREMLY strict about returns without a receipt.

Yep you are right about that! They have a system that can read all of the non receipt returns that you made there.

Sassy, I don't know what to say about your experience. The Sales A. may have just been trying to be a B!tch.

Yeah, I feel ya girl on that one!

Trader Joes is also excellent about returns. When my inner OCD pj convinced me to stock up on a bunch of their conditioner, only to ultimately fall out of love with them, I was able to return them without a receipt. :yep:
