Spin off of the "W" hair syndrome - Solutions?

It took me a while to realize that my nape was a finer texture than the rest so I couldn't relax it like the rest of my head.

Keeping my hair covered at night and/or use a satin or silk pillowcase.

Even though my nape is the coarsest area, it's more drier and more delicate. I have to give it some TLC and not let relaxers sit so long on it.:yep:

I can't remember who, but a member here said she conditions that area heavier and combs it more carefully and hers caught up with the rest of her hair. I've started doing that and think I am seeing improvement.

I think my upside down V is due to the area not even growing as much as the rest of my hair. I think what I'm going to do is to massage the area more often, keep it more moisturized or conditioned than the rest of the hair, and try not to really relax the area when I relax my hair. Sigh...it's such a set back.
