Do you liquefy it before applying it to your hair? Do you ever apply it to dry hair and leave-in or do you just use on wet hair and rinse out? I am planning to buy some from Whole Foods but I need to do my research first. Thanks.

You can apply it either way. If you liquefy it then you'd be doing a hot oil treatment which would penetrate better if you were on a time schedule. But it can be applied in its solid state as well, which might allow you to guage the amount you use better. It is usually recommended as a pre-treatment for atleast 1hr before shampooing. But you can also seal in moisture with it after deep conditioning.

It will liquifiy once you scoop some out and rub in your hands. I've used it as a pree-poo treatment, applied to wet hair w/my leave-in and on dry hair to boost the shine and seal in moisture.

I use it in solid form when putting it on the tail of my ponytail to seal my ends and baggie. But it will turn to liqid it you just let it simply stay in your hand or rub your hands together.
