Ok, I was looking through some homemade hair recipes and I clicked on protein treatment....it says put soy sauce and water on your head for a protein treatment:confused: . I was like wahhh:lachen: . Have any of you heard of this?

They have some good recipes on here though. Here's where I got ithttp://www.recipegoldmine.com/beautyhair/hair28.html

It does not surprise me. Soy Protein is an ingredient in many conditioners. I don't think I would like my hair smelling like soy sauce, though.:perplexed

Yeah, I looked on the back of my bottle of soy sauce and it does have protein in it. I don't think I'd want to be walking around smelling like a chinese restaurant though, hee hee.

I've read about this on another hair board.
Soy Sauce contains salt as well, it probably would make your hair hard in the process. Doesnt sound kosher to me. I'd rather whip up an egg and use it as natural protein treatment.
