Source Naturals Skin Eternal Plus--heard of it?

Hey y'all

I'm trying to put together a new vitamin regimen to start next month, and I've been searching around for hair vitamins. I found this particular supplement by Source Naturals that is marketed for the skin but from looking at the ingredients would make a GREAT all around supplement for hair, skin and nails. It has biotin and opti-msm and horsetail and a whole bunch of other stuff. Have any of you used this or heard of it? It looks good for the basis of my regimen, but it's not cheap

Everywhere I've looked it costs no less than $25 for a one month supply

--with the exception of one place that is having a 2 for 1 sale on all of its Source Naturals stock. That's why I want to decide soon so I can jump on the sale and get 2 months worth to try it out and see if it'll be worth replacing even if it's not on sale. Check it out: Skin Eternal Plus

I purchased this product for the same reason. great minds think alike

Anyways, I think it's working. I have not been consistent with it but, I need to be.

I also purchased another vitamin product that's targeted towards allergy relief. I do have allergies but my main purpose for buying it was for the hair growing ingrediants. Let me know if you want to know what's in it.

So, my regimen consists of:
Skin Eternal Plus
Aller-Ease Allergen Relief Formula
Country Life Biotin

Wait a minute, the Skin Eternal forumla that I have is different from what you've posted. Mine is from Source Natuals too. It contains:
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Calcium
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Grape Seed Extract
DMAE

However, the Aller-Ease formula that I take includes many of the ingredients in the Skin Eternal Plus formula. It contains:
Vitamin A 5000IU
Vitamin C 500mg
Vitamin B12 1000mg
Quercetin 300mg
Bromelain 100mg
MSM 200mg
L Histidine 200mg
NAC 100mg
Nettles 200mg
Zinc 15mg
Bayberry 100mg
Eyebright 100mg
Mullein Leaf 100mg

By the way, the Source Skin Eternal does help the skin's appearance too. Have you noticed?

Re: Source Naturals Skin Eternal Plus--heard of it

There's Skin Eternal, which is what you have, and then there's Skin Eternal Plus which is different--it has a lot more stuff. I haven't tried either yet--I wanted to see if anyone else had. The regular Skin Eternal is much cheaper it seems, but I guess that makes sense since it doesn't have all the goodies that the Plus version has. But it's so expensive (for me at least). Even if I liked it, I'm not sure I'd be willing to cough up $25 every month to buy it...

Right now I'm taking Solgar Skin Nails and Hair which has:

Vitamin C 120mg
Calcium 30mg
Zinc 15mg
Copper 2mg
MSM 1000mg
Silicon 50mg
L-Proline 50mg
L-Lysine 50mg

I'm also taking 5mg PP Biotin (recently increased dosage from 3mg). I haven't been taking these vitamins long enough to see what it's doing to my hair, but my skin does look pretty nice lately

I just wanted a more "complete" vitamin with all the regular vitamins and minerals. Right now I would need to take a multivitamin in addition to get all my nutrients. I want to keep costs and number of pills per day to a minimum. I guess I'm being sort of difficult and picky

Re: Source Naturals Skin Eternal Plus--heard of it

I see. I forgot to mention that I take a B-complex too. I don't take it everyday because it gives me too much energy to where I can't sleep at night.

Re: Source Naturals Skin Eternal Plus--heard of it

Thanks, tal. The cheapest I saw it was through vitamin shoppe for $25.79 I believe. And I missed that 2 for 1 sale that I had seen on total health vitamins (or something like that)

I guess if you snooze you lose

I'm still looking at other stuff though. I can be a little tightfisted

For $25 a month I could get a good multi plus extra specific stuff like biotin or msm or flax or something. Still looking...

Re: Source Naturals Skin Eternal Plus--heard of it

I wasn't clear on what quantity you were getting for the $25 a month you quoted, so I didn't know if I was comparing apples to apples. What you saw on Vitamin Shoppe's website was 120 tablets for $25?
