the ladies who were using Kenra MC as a moisturizer? I remember a lot of ladies were doing this but I haven't heard anything about it lately. So ladies, is it still working for you?

i like it.

it works best for me if i mix it with s-curl.

what i want to try is mixing it w/ pure glycerin (or glycerin/water mix)
and see how that works?

just to eliminate the extra ingredients in the s-curl.

hopefully i can get to a store sometime soon and pick some up.

Oh ok so do you DC with it too? I was thinking of trying the mask for DC's.

Been using it ever since. Bought the gallon size. Been 3 years now. Ive tried other conditioners and NOTHING can beat it when it comes to moisturizing my hair and providing slip.

yup!

i use kenra mc to DC

my hair loves it as a moisturizing DC!

i actually havent tried any of the other kenra products
but i've been thinking about perhaps trying some of the out

This is one of my STAPLES... I thought I was the only one! :lachen:

I use it like this:
I'm on a 2 year C&G challenge. When I put in my braids, I slather each small section of hair with Kenra MC. I used to put it on dry hair, but now I spray the hair lightly with a little water first. It seems to help the condish sink in. I massage it along the length of the hair, except for the top 2 or 3 inches near the scalp. I don't want my braids slipping out!

Then I seal it in with a product that was originally meant for skin. It's cocoa butter and coconut oil mixed with some other stuff, including mineral oil (I know...) It's a thick grease-like stuff in a jar. I apply this to the section of hair, and then braid it up.

When I take my braids down 4-6 weeks later, my hair is in awesome condition. I wash and condition during that time, of course, but I really think using the Kenra this way made the most difference.

Hey, sunbasque, where did you buy the gallon size, and how much did you pay? I didn't know it even came in that size.

Hey. I am part of the group that stopped using it. It worked great at first then started matting up my hair. I tried clarifying, using it only 2-4 post relaxer, and puting olive oil in it. Just didn't work for me like it did at first.

so do you still DC and just not moisturize with it? Are you done with it all together? "MATTING":perplexed . No, don't do this to me lol

$55!!!!!!!!!!! I can hang that up. No WAY that DH is gonna ok a price that steep for condish.
I see it as an investment. I dont have to keep buying it.The litre lasted me for nearly a year so i will use this one for 2 years hopefully.

It didn't seem to do much for me... I dont' know maybe I will try again. Maybe I didn't use enough or something.:ohwell:
A little goes a long way. I noticed that its when i slather it on that my hair becomes hard to detangle!

I still love it! I use the MC as a pre-poo, shampoo and then dc. I also love their daily provision;I need to order some more.

I used one bottle of it, and I've moved on since. It's a good conditioner. I definitely have no complaints about it.

I think people are misreading my post. Im not asking who uses it to DC, I am asking who uses it to moisturize because I remember a lot of women were doing this a couple of months ago. Sorry if my post was confusing.

like as a leave in/daily conditioner, nope. No conditioner has ever worked as a leave in for me. Well, except when i was natural

I tired it this morning b4 work. So far so good:grin:. I really like using it like this, it should hold me over until I found my staple (cone free moisturizer). I dont think my hair will be mushy or too moisturized because it has protein (I know its a moisturizing protein but hey protein is protein).
