if you put a non-permanent color rinse in your after directly after you've relaxed your hair it actually is considered permanent color.

I've been told that if you use a very dark colored rinse, especially black, and let it process for longer than usual, it becomes permanent. I rinsed my hair with a black temporary almost a year ago and some strands are still black.

Do you mean to say that if you use a temporary color rinse subsequently following a relaxer its considered permanent color?

Interesting.

Hmm, interesting. I had a reddish-violet rinse applied to my hair right after my last relaxer. Up until a week or so ago whenever I washed my hair I would see the color slowly washing out;however, now I don't see anything! And the color looks more and more noticeable. I don't think it will ever wash out.

Thats an untruth, cuz my rinses dont stay in

They wash right the heck out whether I do them before or after a relaxer

I was listening to this guy teach a cosmotolgy class on coloring hair and he said that if you put a color rinse in the hair, directly after relaxing & neutralizing, that the color is now permament......I don't know how true this is but that's what the man said.

I dont think so because I always put a black rinse in after a relaxer and my hair always goes back to being brown within 6-8 weeks.

I think this is somewhat true because your hair is extremely porous right after a relaxer. Now my hair is naturally porous with or without a relaxer, so when I put in a rinse, it don't rinse out.
