I need some recommendations for something to add to my conditioners while my hair is wet to get the comb through. This is a new problem and it is causing me to lose hair. I am using the same conditioners that I used to use with no problems, and i have adequate moisture in my routine.

any recommendations?

The only thing that works for me is to condition more than once. The first time, I leave it on for a couple of minutes then I put my head under the running water and comb through it while the water is running through it and it detangles then I condition a second time and comb the conditioner through and let it sit. I comb while rinsing on the final rinse as well.

 Hi,
I would suggest , when you want to get out of a tangled mess, the best detangler award from me goes to "JOHNSONS BABY SHAMPOO" slip/slip/slip/. I know we want to avoid over use of shampoos. When I know my hair may be very tangled (after a 2-3 day old style) I use the regular Johnson’s baby shampoo....I may loose 3-6 hairs if that much. It's not my regular shampoo but when I'm in trouble "Johnson’s to the rescue"I also have a seam less flexible pick.

My problems comes after shampooing when I need to comb through the conditioner, my shampoo is detangling. Anyone use biolage detangling stuff

try La bella conditioner the one for thicker, shinier healthy hair. it's a spanish conditioner and it gives me good slip. i love this conditioner. but i don't use nothing with it.

I think a detangling shampoo helps. I use to have trouble detangling my hair after my shampoo. Keracare Detangling shampoo along with my Jilbere shower comb makes it so much easier for me to detangle before I apply my conditioner.

Co-signing on this: I just used the LaBella banana and rainforest water with coconut oil and vitamins A,C, E conditioner for the first time last week for a CO wash and it does detangle like a dream and gives great slip. It's inexpensive, too.

I would suggest to alternate between a conditioner that has more protein(infusium, aphogee, pantene just to name a few) and the "moisturizing" conditioners. I know that protein tx, can help w/ abnormal shedding, and of course you can alternate so that your hair doesn't get dried out. What I like to add to all my conditioners, whether it's for dc, leave in's or what ever. CASTOR OIL! It leaves my hair really soft, great shine(when used as a leave-in) and my hair really responds to the heavier oil. I know that it DEFINITELY helps me during my detangling, and I am a natural! Good luck to you, hth!

Yeap. I got ya ;) first, conditioner shampoo like this. Part hair in middle and comb down, indian style. Apply a detangling conditioner (silicone mix, keracare humecto, kids organics detangling conditioner) WITHOUT tangling. Keep hair straight by laying it on top of head. Go under dryer at least 45 mins to soften. Using the conditioner already on your head, "wash" scalp in the direction the hair is combed. Add oil to mid length to ends. Under running water, "rinse" hair by combing under the running water with a wide tooth comb.
