Why that brown Pre-Con gel is bad for hair? I was tempted to buy it today...it was .99.

Also, any gel recommendations would be most welcome!

Its okay in small quantities (edges) but it dried the hell out of my hair when used all over because of the protein. I now use Fantasia IC hair polishing gel which has no alcohol or protein, and contains aloe vera gel and glycerin, and i think vitamin E.
