Some shampoos are extremely strong

I got a tip a couple of years ago to use shampoo on grass and blood stains as a pre-treatment. This is after detergent pre-treaters and products like Shout were innefective. The shampoos really worked but it was unsettling to find that the shampoos were stronger than detergents like Tide and All. Now I buy cheap shampoos like V05 and Suave to get tough stains out and they work great but I'll never use them on my head!

I use shampoo to clean my makeup powder puffs. It works better than detergent or facial wash on them. But, then there are some shampoos that don't clean my puffs correctly. There cheaper ones, do the job. But the moisturizing ones like CON, etc. don't.

I guess it is the ingredients that make the difference between the detergent and the shampoo. I would never use detergent on my hair because I have read about the ph level in laundry and dish detegents and that they contain alkaline most times.

This doesn't surprise me 'cause I know people who've literally done full loads of laundry and washed their dishes with certain shampoos. It's crazy as hell to think about, but the cleaning power of some shampoos is certainly no joke.

I use CON on my hair as well so I'm happy to hear it doesn't work to cleanse your puffs. I assume that moistuizing shampoos wouldn't do the job that V05 and Suave do on stains. I hope it's just the cheap, non-moisturizing ones!
