how would YOU respond to this question?
"if you want your hair straight, what's the point of stretching relaxers?"

I would answer by saying- "I stretch my relaxers to ensure the health of my hair. Chemical processing can be damaging to the hair if overlapping occurs.'

"For me, stretching relaxers is the best way for me to ensure that minimal overlapping will occur................."

I don't relax, but I still apprectiate the point. 1)Stretching tends to be less damaging/traumatic. 2) Not everyone relaxes because of the straightness, anyway. A lot of people do it to make their hair easier to manage.

stretching relaxers has nothing to do with how you wear your hair it has to do with the health of your hair.
i wear my hair straight everyday and i've been stretching since october, 9 months i think, and my hair is much healthier and i dont have to worry about whether or not my hair is strong enough for certain things.
