Sole & Cinnamon Dominican Conditioner

Hi, ladies!
I am posting because I am wondering if anyone has used this product and how they used it. I was thinking of DC'ing with it under the dryer for like 30-45 minutes.
How have you used it and how did you like it?

I used it and LOVED it. It left my hair very moisturized and extremely soft. I also notice an immediate difference in the amount of hairs both in the drain after I rinsed AND in the comb after detangling.

wow this took me back. I had one from this florida based website that sold dominican conditioners and this was my absolute favorite. i forget what brand it is but the conditioner is pink and has little things inside. it smelled good, very good at detangling and kept my hair soft.

I have used it with heat for about 30min under the dryer. Ive also used it and generated my own body heat for about an hour I think..I just used a plastic cap...put a towel in the dryer--took the warm towel out of the dryer and wrapped it around my head.

Great suggestions. I am thinking of using it under the dryer because I've always struggled to keep the towel on my head, and then it feels weird to me when the towel gets cold again... I don't know... I'm weird. I just don't like the towel... lol.
Anyway, no I haven't used it before. I am taking out my Senegalese twists in a few days and wanted to see what other people were doing before I tried it. I am going to do a rollerset and silk wrap. I'll be 8 months into my transition when I do the wrap.

Im also transitioning and Ive found like the previous poster mentioned this really softens my NG. I apply it root to tip like a relaxer. This is also a con that is meant to be applied or massaged into the scalp. The consistency is rather thick so just be mindful. I dont know how easy your hair is to rinse.

Oddly enough, I have had virtually no problems with my two textures. *knocks on wood*
I don't know why but detangling has been a breeze since the get-go, as long as I do it under a shower stream. I don't know if it's because my natural hair is really soft, or what it is but my hair has always been easy to rinse (and I hope it stays that way :crossfingers. The last time I really had to detangle was before my 6th month mark, so we'll see how it goes over 2 months later after I get these dang twists out! If it's too crazy, I will really appreciate this conditioner, but if not, I still want to use it for the massage, and maybe it will make it so soft that it gets pretty straight during the silk wrap. We'll see...

This time around Im trimming some of the texlaxed hair as I go. The last attempt I was too stubborn to do so, got frustrated and gave up. Best to you!!!

Suela y Canela was my favorite mix in Dom Rinses and Conditioners. IMO, the Capilo brand is the best. Even the rinse had my hair feeling like butter, the detangling and slip results were great. I've also used the pre-poo oil by Easy Look. This thread makes me want to re-up.

Thank you! I've been itching to cut sooooo bad! But I want to keep going so I don't regret an early cut... face is tooooo round for short-short hair. Lol.
But anyway, I will definitely update!

i just bought a jar of capilo suela y canela. haven't tried it yet, i'm just so turned off by the smell. it's way too cinnamon-y. i was going to give it away, but the reviews are making me want to give it a try.

Water (Aqua), Cetyl Alcohol, Sole Extract, Petrolatum, Cetrimonium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Mineral Oil, Lanolin, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Cinnamon Oil, Citric Acid, FD&C Red No. 40, Benzophenone-4.

They don't look that great according to LHCF standards, but a lot of the ingredients deemed *bad* on the forum have not damaged my hair, or if used sparingly, don't make any difference for me. I don't load my hair with mineral oil and petrolatum everyday, so I haven't had any adverse effects from using them once every blue moon... I guess it depends on the person. Everyone is reporting great results so I don't think it will hurt me to try it just once.

yeah those ingredients are kinda...yuck. mineral oil & such doesn't give me long enough lasting moisture.

Lol. I feel you on that one. It SOUNDS delish... actually, it doesn't really smell like anything except Big Red or those hard, red cinnamon candies. But I am just really interested in the scalp stimulation, especially since I am about to take my Senegalese twists out, so I would looooove to get some things going on up there... but hopefully not TOOO much... :burning:

If God rested on the 7th day, He woke up the next morning and created Capilo Sole & Cinnamon Conditioner.

I have never felt my new growth feel so soooooooft and my curls were a little looser. Omg... a slice of heaven on earth. I know the ingredients aren't that great but my entire head was like "Yesssssssssss!"
This will definitely be one of the non-natural products I use from now on. I don't have many, but I am in NO way giving this one up!
