I notice from many of the threads that many of these products like Henna and Amla can darken or redden your hair. What products and regimen can I use that won't change the color of my hair?

You can use cassia, another plant related to henna, that does not deposit color on the hair. I haven't used that yet.
However, I was able to get my exact, natural color (which is dark brown with auburn highlights) by using a recipe of henna, indigo and amla. :yep:

for oil Vatika.. it has amla but not enough to effect the hair color. almond oil, castor oil or plain coconut oil.

Most strengthening powders are darkening. i wouldn't say it leaves your hair black. if that is the case i would have the darkest of dark black. so you can also keep that in mind. i use amla and brahmi and others.
