Today when I was walking from the beauty salon I decided to peek into the wig shop next door . . . and I ended up buying two drawstring phony-ponies. I have no idea what I'm doing . . . but I'm hopeful that these will provide a fun, attractive alternative to my usual, boring low bun.

Now, um, how does the whole drawstring thing work? Also, how do you prevent that sucker from falling off? Finally, is there any sort of anti-static cling spray I can use? (It got all static-y in the shopping bags . . . . )

I don't know if the anti-static spray for clothes (eg Static Guard) would work, or rubbing the Bounce dryer sheets through the hair. For a way to attach the draw string, check out Adrienne's album.

I'm looking to get a phony pony and am interested in styles and maintenance. Any links or references to albums would be appreciated. I've found numerous sites with models wearing the drawstring and clip on updos and ponytails, but it would be good to see them on real women.
