I was suppose to come back last night and post pictures in my other thread, but I was kinda disappointed. As you all know I had a lot of reds in my hair from different rinses and things.

Well I was tired of the red and wanted black hair this is what I got in the end. Most of the red red hair is gone although in the light you can see it. My ends are so tangled and heat damaged, but only in the front on like one side. I did dust all over and then cut off 2 to 3 inches in the front where all the damage was.

What are some good black rinses?

i like clairol jazzing's line of rinses. they last a long time on me. my favorite is their bluest black rinse :yep:

that's odd that it didn't take. how long did you keep it on? when i apply my rinses, i apply, put on a showercap, & sit under the dryer for 30 minutes to lock in the color with heat. that way, the rinse lasts at least a month or so.

I did add darkest brown to it. I love Jazzings its my favorite rinse, but they didn't have a black one at the Sallys I went to. I follow the directions on the bottle and process 25 minutes at room temp and then I got under the dryer for 10 minutes.

I had no idea your hair was so beautiful. That avatar doesn't do you any justice. I have no help cause I don't color but I just wanted to tell you your hair is beautiful!

Natural Instincts by Clairol is the truth! I've said it a million times and I'll say it again! My hair was about the same color as yours in your pictures when I dyed it midnight black. It's been 3 months and the color has yet to fade or rinse out. Now I only recommend it if you're 100% positive you want black hair. B/c even though it's semi-permanent, it takes to the hair shaft significantly.

Jazzing is also my favorite rinse. I alway get it in jet black. oh yeah....I love the color of your hair as it is, but I definitely understand the need to change it up now and then.

i have no advice, because i don't really use rinses, but your hair looks absolutely gorgeous!!! :yep:
and i love center parts...it looks great on you

Ok see I think I might try this one. The thing is I do like to switch it up a lot which is why I have been waiting to color my hair black until I felt totally done with all the other colors. I do not want to have to lift my hair color. I've been in reds long enough.
