Hello...I'm am so glad that I found you Ladies....I was searching on line to resolve my issues with my itchy scalp....So I hope you Ladies can help me...I have super sensitive skin, scalp everything..I think I'm 4a or b. I'm relaxed. I relax every 6 to 8 weeks ( I know ). I use Nexxus Headress, Therappe, Aloe Rid, and Humectress. Please help

I'm so excited...Long hair runs in my immediate family. My hair was really damaged so I cut about 3 inches last month. So I'm about Full APL now. I always stay between APL and BSL . My mothers hair has always been about waist length . I've never taken care of my hair before so I hope I don't mess up anything. LOL...I also learned not to talk about my hair..So this is going to be different..I think you guys can help me grow long healthy hair like my mothers... YEAH

Welcome!!! I too struggle with the itchy scalp. I went to see a dermatologist and he said since I already have eczema, he believes I have it on my scalp too. I haven't been able to find anything to help yet.

I have eczema too. I thought it was under control. Maybe I was hoping someone had this magic oil or something. I'm just really miserable right now. I've tried medicated shampoos but they dry out my hair and doesn't help much.

The women in my family don't share beauty tips...I know its strange ..They won't tell you where they bought they're oh so cute shoes..and don't dare ask for a reciepe...Let alone give a compliment.

I just don't talk about my hair b/c so many people believe black women don't have long hair and I don't like the attention so I usually wear it in a bun. I got my hair done and my husband and I went to a Jill Scott concert and my husband got into with some girls b/c they had me in tears because they were making comments about my bad weave. I thought I really looked cute that night. Oh well....
Example I had to cut 3 inches off my hair. I was so so hurt. My best friend was like Traycee please God forbid your hair looks like the rest of us . I love hair and I'm sometimes made to feel guilty about it.

I thought all black women were like the crazy ones in my family.

Thank God that's not true. I just wish some of you were my girlfriends.

Well Lady you have a lot of sisters here and believe it or not some in your neighborhood. I too am in SoCal.

For a tip about the itchy scalp, I am not sure but I thought I saw something regarding one of the ayurvedic powders or oils that help with itchy scalp.

The ladies can chime in and let you know though.

PS: You can talk about almost ANYTHING here on this board as well as share information, recipes, stories, etc. The ladies are always open and willing to help.
