I really applaud those of you who have found ways to style and take care of your natural hair. The problem with my hair is that it is just soooo thick that I couldn't take it anymore. :nono: It's somewhere between a 3c in the back with different textures ranging to a 4b in some places.

Anyway my question is, now that I've relaxed it and I love it by the way, what is the best deep moisturizing conditioner and protein treatment to use? I don't plan on going back to natural at all. Thanks ladies!!

I love Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner, it is a staple. I order 4-5 bottles at a time so I (hopefully) will never run out. I tried a number of leave-ins, and I liked Neutragena Triple Moisture leave in, but I need a very heavy one when I am deep in a stretch. So I mixed my own. I bought a pump bottle from Sally's and mixed 1/2 Nexxus humectress and 1/2 Trader joe's nourish spa with enough distilled water to thin it out a little. :lick: This has been great on my hair!

As for protein, my hair simply can't get enough. I do Aphogee 2 minute or Sally's GVP of Joico reconstructor every week. Then DC with the AO HSR. I do Nexxus Emergencee the week after a relaxer. Which ends up being only 2-3 times a year since I stretch 16-24 weeks at a time:grin: HTH!

Welcome:yay: Congratulations:grin:

Moisture-Aubrey Organics: White Camillia for moisture or Rosa Mosqueta

Protein - Aubrey Organics:GPB or Island naturals or Millcreek: Biotin or Keratin conditioner

Congrats!

Not sure what range you are looking for but Komaza has a protein strengthener that's really good.

Don't judge...Sent from my Galaxy Note II using LHCF

I like Keracare Humecto in the tub for moisture.
Its not natural- but its pretty great.

I like motions moisture plus or cream of nature professional in the peach bottle. Both are amazing

I use Silk elements MegaMoisture, the now discontinued KeraPro (it was fantastic) and One n Only. For protein I use SE Hair Mayo, Hair Chemist Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Mask (Sally's) and One and Only Restorative Mask. I try to keep 2-3 items that work for me so I'm never left high and dry.

Enjoy the relaxed life!!!

My hair sounds like yours...and I did that before i transitioned. I grew out for 8 weeks and i thought it felt thick. It WAS thick compared to my relaxed hair and I realized that it also felt thicker when it wasn't moisturized properly (and my hair needed different moisture natural than relaxed) Anyway, I use(d) One nd Only Hydrating Masque, and Lutrasilk Jojoba and Castor Oil, both of those worked on my relaxed hair really well.

My natural hair loved the hydrating masque so much I still use it
