I'm going back to aveda tomorrow to have a treatment and a trim. I really do need the trim because my split ends are out of control. But I can't help from feeling an anxiety attack coming on :ohwell:. I feel like I'm been making good progress and now I have this set back (including my nape which has broken off).

been there, done that. It's okay. Setbacks are for overcoming and as for the splits- clip 'em and go on. Your hair will thank you!

I don't know what to do about the nape. It has grown out a little bit.... but about a one inch area of my nape had broken off

Yes the nape is finer

Well you probably already know this, but you should relax that part last and make sure it's protected well.

Also, make sure that when you wash your body that your body soap/gel isn't getting in your hair. It took me a while to realize that the nape of my hair was getting extra dry because of my body soap getting in it when I washed my neck.

I'm home now

My hair feels very soft post treatment. Before the treatment I was ruuning my hands through my hair and strands would just come out. Now that's not happening. She clipped about 1/4 inch and then I go back for another treatment in 2 weeks. The treatment I did today was supposed to help with the splits too.

She blowdried with a denman first and then used a round brush. She didn't use a flat iron on my hair at all. My hair is light and airy..... no greasiness.
