So I finally used Keracare Humecto...

and I'm disappointed. I used it so far two seperate times. One time I used it after a wash but think I should have possibly used more. The other time was last night, used on dry hair w/ evoo and sat under dryer w/ plastic cap for 20 mins. This morning felt softer but still dry?

I still have some left and I'll try it one more time but I'm really surprised that I got these results.

Has anyone else had this w/ Keracare or is it just me?

its always worked for me.
but all products aren't for everyone!
if you'd like to sell what's left for a reasonable price, pm me.

I believe I read somewhere here in a post that for some people it took a couple weeks of consistent use to reap the benefits.

Well, Humecto is an excellent detangler but as far as delivering real moisture to the hair, it doesn't IMO.

I was leaning towards buying some this weekend, but I think I'm going to keep holding off. I hope it works eventually for you. Maybe after that I may reconsider giving it a try.

I ordered the Detangling shampoo, Humecto conditioner, and leave in maybe a few weeks ago to give a professional line a whirl. I 've used it exclusively since then 2-3 times a week and I'm still on the fence. I don't think my hair likes the mineral oil they stuff into everything-- even the shampoo.:ohwell: Maybe thats why they have the 1st lather shampoo-- b/c you probably need something to clean up the mineral oil from everything else in the line.:look:  I already knew the mineral oil in the leave in conditioner wasn't gonna work out too well for me. It always leaves my hair feeling coated and crunchy.

I like the way the line smells overall though, so thats a plus  I do like the detangling power the shampoo has too :yep: but that mineral oil in everything just haunts my dreams. The conditioner is okay, but I have other much cheaper ones that seem to put it to shame at this point. I hear the one in the tub is better so maybe thats where I am going wrong? I'm not into wasting stuff though, so I am going to finish the bottles. Hopefully my tune will change by the end of the bottles. If not, I probably won't end up purchasing it again. :nono:

Well i wanted to give this a whirl after I finish up some other products. I will wait. I really love my Nexxus so I would hate to waste good money on something I am not sure about. Keep us informed ladies.

ive used it and it does wonders on my hair i used evoo and honey and sat with a plastic cap on for 20 minutes and my hair was soft and bouncy.

sexy_c, which products do you have? I'm starting to think I got a bad batch or something.:ohwell:

My TWA doesn't like humecto.I'm glad that I purchased a small amt in the tub from another board member before I spent $50 on it.
it leaves my hair coated and dry.I tried it alone and then I tried mixing it with cond and oil and using it under my steamer.I always end up clarifying and cond all over again.
i didn't try it when my hair was relaxed so I don't know how it would've reacted to the permed hair but my natural hair and humecto do not get along at all:(

To sistaslick:
I washed my hair with elasta qp creme poo and used atone reconstructor mixed with humecto. my leave in was ntm and i roller set and let air dry with soft and bouncy curls with no breakage. p.s. sistaslick. I'm christy the one who emails u all the time.:) Wuz up girl :D

I tried this last year and it didn't do anything for me. The generic Humectress outperformed this straight from the bottle. So did the Motions CPR, even after I had to pick bits out of my hair!!

Oh! heeey girl!!!

See, now that AtOne Reconstructor is the STUFF! Thats probably what gave that incredible slip  Add that to any conditioner and you are SET!

:( Aww man, Im sorry you guys had a bad experience with it. Ive been using it for a while now and its done wonders for my hair. A lot of people have had great results with it which is why it seems to be raved about a lot on this board.

I ve tried everyting and its the only product thats brought moisture and a nice sheen to my hair. And its the only conditioner that makes the comb fall through my hair. Ive never used once used a detangler since I started using humecto.

But like we always say, not everything will work for everybody:) But thats why we share. Hopefully, something WILL work for someone:D

I just used it. I actually left the humecto on for 2 days. I just finally rinse it out yesterday and did a rollerset. Very soft hair.

I really love Humecto. I use it as a conditioner and part of my spray concoction.

I love it so much I decided to make it part of my regimen.

Now, I do love the smell. It's so comforting and relaxing. BTW ayana, your hair is beautiful in your avatar. :)

Girl you have been raving about that AtOne since forever.......is it really that good? :) Is a reconstructor and a deep conditioner that has protein in it considered the same thing. I never really understood the difference if any. Also have you used any of their other products? Thanks a bunch:)

I've always used it for moisture and for the slip it gives other conditioners. I don't know why they call it a reconstructor! Me and Senimoni were talking about this not long ago. It is really kind of misleading as there is no protein anywhere in it at all. It pretty much consists of humectants and emollients... nothing "proteiny" LOL! Its affordable and really underrated. Y'all should give it a try-- you may like it!;)

I have tried their dry and itchy scalp shampoo as well and it is great for dandruff and itchies without stripping ingredients. Its blue and it tingles...ahhhh... just don't get it in your eye. I had to learn that the hard way. Someone from another board said their leave in conditioner is excellent for moisture, but I've never ever found it around here.:ohwell:

Hey did they change the formula of the Humecto? I bought a new bottle a couple of days ago and the it was more watery than I remember.

I'm not sure. It's been a hot minute since I've bought the bottle. Now I only buy the tub of Humecto.

I use to use that shampoo all the time but never used the conditioner. Maybe I'll give it a try.

I wondered this too, because my hair doesn't react the same to Keracare. My hair is still soft, but it looks dry though with not much sheen at all. This is a bummer, because I really like Keracare shampoo and conditioner. I guess I may have to use Elucence exclusively. :(

Sistaslick - AtOne sounds good. I always see it in the BSS, but always bypass it for some reason.

I also only buy the tub. But just be careful where you get your products from, especially when the weather gets warmer/hot. I purchased a bad batch of something last week and had to throw it out.

I've been trying to get good resuls with my humecto and my hair is just not responding to it. I've tried to use it all kind of ways but it makes my hair dry and doesn't moisturize it hardly at all. I have the bottle and the tub is supposed to be better but I'm afraid to spend that much money not being sure if I will get better results. Oh well back to my NTM daily deep conditioner.

This is exactly why I only order products from the website. Too much complications. I want to order everything in bulk but I will call the 1800 number and see what I can do.

I'll tell you one thing. I know I will NEVER buy anything from ebay.
