hey yall..I'm so darn sleepy, but I got this conditioner in my hair that I need to wash out. The problem is If I wash it out I will have to blow dry it which is going to take another 25 minutes. then if i blow dry it I will have to oil and moisturize it after that...I just dont feel like doing all that crap. I would just go to bed and let it air dry but that usually dont swing to well with my hair.. The moment I wake up it will me matted down and tangled! Probably because I usally tie it down while its wet, but I have to unless I want my SO to wake up in the morning with me looking like a crack head sleeping with my hair puffed all over my head!!!
So I'm just thinking should i just leave this conditioner in until tomorrow and then finish it?
Its Olive oil Professional Deep penetrating conditioner.
I've left conditioner in over night before but I dont know if it was this one..
What do u think?
bye the way. I posted wet texure shots on the second page of my other thread I started about half and hour ago...check them out.

Unless the condish has tons of harsh ingredients Leave it in...Go to sleep!! My hair never comes out good if I do it when tired.

I think i'm gonna leave it in..i'm about to fall out at this computer...what are a few of the bad ingredients that may be in conditioners?

I do it all the time

I always get too lazy to even start or finish

leave condish in all the time, as long as its not strong protein it's not typically a problem

well it depends....
most consider parabens, sulfates, detergents, alcohol, mineral oil, silicones, heavy protein amongst others to be "bad" as far as leaving in over night. But this all depends on your hair and what works for you cause I use certain condish with some of these ingredients.

A protein treatment conditioner

strong proteins like Keratin, or Collagen, Hydrolyzed Animal protein

the other proteins too, ie. Silk, Wheat Protein, although softer , can create a problem if you have already been using major proteins in your regimen , if not it's probably fine

Awww I was rooting for you getting to leave it in and get some sleep :( :( Well if you wash it out, wrap your head in t-shirt and then a towel and squeeze it to get the excess moisture out. Then throw a few flat twists in it, wrap it with your scarf and go to sleep with it towel dried. This should allow you to lay down without all the blow drying and what not, but still able to avoid the matted/poofy situation you described earlier. Good luck to you.

yeah , she could replace the condish with an overnight oil treatment and avoid tangling too, thats pretty easy, if you don't mind sleeping with oil, if your hair likes oil, this is always win/win

just rinse in the AM
