I am freshly relaxed and I can't stop putting my hands in my hair. I love the smoothness and shine. I've already been thinking about my regime up until I relax again and it got me thinking why does me hair forget how to act around the 4 week mark. When my newgrowth starts coming in my hair gets even more body and thickness but then BOOM:eek: it starts to forget how to act. I have been doing some poking around on the site pulling up some old posts and what not trying to figure out how to deal with this. All the posts from the ladies who stretch it out have helped alot but is it that the two textures cause the cuticle to have more problems laying down so that I lose my managability? Do I need to incorporate more acidifying products in my regime? Whats your theory on this? I know we have alot of ladies who are stylist and are in school. Have you learned anything regarding this in class and or through practice that can help me understand and deal with it.

I think everyone's hair does this. It's the pitfall of dealing with 2 radically different textures. Just DC and cowash and bun it up girl!

I think it because the newgrowth is what I call greedy. Usually our scalp sebum can easily reach out ends which helps some. Our newgrowth makes it harder for it to reach our end which makes it kinda hard for our ends to retain moisture.

That's just my personal theory though.
