Q. will this cut off any length I have achieved though growth?
Q. Who else has this problem
Q. How have you managed to reduce it or stop it....serious help I can't wear my hair down.

I was starting to see these little hairs. I NEVER had this problem before I started doing henna and other drying things without getting that conditioner in there. Once I got a trim and starting hydrating the fool out of it, it stopped.

I still have this problem. Its a sign that the strands are brittle and dont have enough elasticity and strength in them. I get the little strands when I comb dry hair, I noticed some when I roller-wrapped my hair this weekend. My hair is naturally dry and needs crazy moisture but at the same time its weak too. If you are noticing this after a henna treatment then that means you should increase your moisture because henna tends to dry the hair out.

ITA, it is a sign of dry, brittle hair. I had this problem before i joined LHCF. You should always, always, always comb hair that has been moisturized first. Never comb dry hair! Try it and let us know how it's working.

I had this problem before LHCF. When I stopped blow drying and flat ironing weekly it stopped immediately. I haven't seen them since.

I try to moisture like crazy but it just seems to break is this still normal? will this still cut off the length i have spent a year trying to gain?
really combing dry hair is bad? i thought it made life eaiser...wowi stopped flat ironing + blow drying heck no heat altoghter maybe it will work 4 me.
it seams all i get it breakage i never see shedding...

I agree that it sounds like dry hair. Why don't you baggy in a bun for few days and see if that fixes it?

I do and most times I place my hair up in a pin and at night in a scraf + a shower cap:nono: its only when I place my hair down is the problem, i become so paranoid i look at my shoulders every 5 minutes I hate to think whats on my back

I had this problem about two weeks ago. Here's what I did (and have been doing every other week)protein treatment with Motions CPR. Wash with the treatment shampoo and condition. Mix an egg with the conditioner to increase the protein or you can use the protein treatment by Soft Sheen Carson. I used what I had at the time. Sit under a heat cap for 15-20 mins. Wash out thoroughly and then condition again with Pantene for women of colour for moisture. Comb through and wash out in 3 mins. Blot dry or dry thoroughly (whatever works for you) and use Soft Sheen Carson cream oil moisturiser on the ends. Use on ends daily and sleep or lie down always in a satin cap. You can use whatever is available to you now but get the protein, moisture and the moisture seal in there.

ITA w/ the problem being dry brittle hair. Try moisturizing before you leave the house in the morning and before you go to sleep. make sure to seal in the moisturizer w/ an oil or serum. How long is your hair? I ask this b/c when I was at shoulder length, it would constantly break b/c my hair would rub against my shirt collar and shoulders. I bunned and baggied until I got past that length.

A. I managed to stop it: I used Ultra Black Hair Creme Moisturize Lotion on my ends when I'm wrapping my hair or if my hair is in a ponytail: i'll baggy using UBH Creme Moisturize Lotion & Evoo

Q. will this cut off any length I have achieved though growth? Yep, Yep, Yep!
Q. Who else has this problem I did and like everyone said it was due to dryness

I stopped the breakage with a protein treatment. Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor each week until improvement (4 weeks) and then only during touch ups. Now I do DRC only after each 6 week relaxer. I also, dusted little by little until the breakage healed, started growing and caught up with trimmed length. I'm back 100%. If you do pin ups, do them REAL loosely. The pulling caused my breakage too.[/
