Is is alright to sleep with a moisturizer on after a retouch and rinse it out in the morning?

Moisturisers are usually left on the hair to keep it nice and soft. Do you mean a conditioner?

Moisturizers are left in. They are ALWAYS good for our dry hair!!! This is the main thing we need........especially on the ends!

If you mean conditioner. I've slept with oil (olive and jojoba) and one other time a conditioner (ORS hair mayo) with a plastic cap. In both cases I had unnecessary breakage and shedding. For me, leaving my hair overly moist is not good. I've heard it works for other ladies.

I don't know about the rest of you but I am trying out routines as I go.

Last month for 1 week only at nite, I alternated between olive oil and conditioner for 5 days. So, one nite olive oil and a plastic cap all nite. The next night conditioner with plastic cap all nite. My hair is 3c/4a. I want to give it as much moisture as it needs.

Last nite, on dry hair I saturated my hair with Infusium 23 leave-in. Put on a plastic cap.

With wearin' all these plastic caps do you think I need a curl

Thanks for all your responses. I meant a moisturizer Armyqt. I tried it anyway the other night and my hair was soft the next morning. I used Kerastase.

I am very cautious about leaving anything on my hair that has protein in it. I usually leave the really cheap conditioners in my hair over nite. Next, I will try a true/pure moisturizer.
