Why does my hair do this? I went out to meet a friend that I hadnt seen in a long time... she has never had a bad hair day in the entire 9 years that I have known her.

I broke my no-heat routine to straighten my hair. It was so sleek and silky and then I tried to wrap it (saturday night for sunday) :perplexed . I think that is where everything went to hell. I never wrap my hair and when I unwrapped what I did, my hair lacked the body and moisture that it had before the wrap. My ends werent even bumped. So I put my extra jumbo carusos on the ends for a bump effect and my style only lasted an hour or two. I was so embarrassed.

My hair looked like fine, white hair that caught up in a horrible windstorm. I want black girl hair hang. :(

Your hair is very pretty! I'm sure it couldn't have been as bad as you think right???? Give me some of that black girl hang too..lol.

Im black.. my hair doesnt hang... It grows up to the stars... Your hair is just reaching for its rightful place (yes I stole that from someone but I like it... so what?)

Oh I know about that big hair thing, a one degree change in the atmosphere will take me from sleek to puffy in 3 seconds flat! THe only way my hair stays sleek is if I have it relaxed bone straight or get a "hard press."

Thank you! I hope that it wasnt that bad, but I fear that it was. I should have known better than to wear it ALL out, 9.5 weeks POST relaxer at a restaurant ON the water. :look:

My hair would do this when I started going natural. Believe it or not it maybe because you hair lacks moisture. Once I started deep conditoning after every shampoo my hair would no longer puff up so soon after straightening. Then I got turned onto ceramics and things got even better. Hope this helps.

I deep condition three times a week. :(

The day before I had deep conditioned with the ORS replenishing pack.

:( Believe me it takes a bit to time.... It didn't happen over night for me but it eventually happened. Have you tried adding honey to your conditioners too.

That Happened to me today..I roller set and when I got to school it was soo pretty and by the end of 2nd period...I had this big puff ball on my head...But people liked it...they were like that's cute..I was like huh??? really l0l. I didn't even know anything went wrong until I went to the bathroom

Definitely true. As much as I dont like to admit it - those $20 steam treatments at the salon make a world of difference to my hair. It does not pouf and right after the rinse my hair is extra soft and curls pop all over the place.
