I put that ish right back on the shelf in Sally's I was so mad. Dagnabit. I use half the bottle at a time, so it's about $12 a treatment but still!!!!! Even the clerk was like, wow.

I'm going to have to find this somewhere cheaper or...I don't know lol catch a good sale.

I noticed that a few weeks ago when I needed to make a purchase. I opted for the smaller bottle and is planning to have a licensed stylist get me something comparable at cost.

Say what now?? I was looking into getting some more for a strong protein treatment... I aint spendin $25.. I aint about that life lol

Saw that at Sally's on Saturday and purchased two sample sizes instead.....I've never bought it before so I'm thinking unless it just transforms my hair I'll stick with my egg/mayo treatment

Oh hell no! :nono:
Just checked out Sally website has the 16 oz one listed for $25..To late ..wish I knew about this increase. I guess I'll never buy that sucker again.

That's crazy. I usually pick mine up at the local beauty supply. The price is just a tad better than Sally's, but I can usually get it with a packaged deal. Like buy the 2-step treatment and the 8 oz bottle of moisturizing conditioning comes with it free.

Aphogee is on some other stuff with those prices.

I have found it in Marshalls and T.J. Maxx for under $20 with the non-conditioning conditioner.

I hate that! You find a good product and because more people start buying it due to word of mouth and they either change the ingredients or jack the price up.

I'll be going back to my Ultra Sheen Duo Tex I guess.

Try a BSS in East Harlem. Usually they have the package with the Balancing Moisturizer and it's less than $20.

That's what happens when we give these companies free advertising. I always get mine from the BSS, but I would not be surprised if they have marked it up, too.

2-step never worked wonders for my hair, anyway.

You need to go to the hood beauty supply store..I'm sure they are less expensive than Sally's :nono:

Just came from one and got it for $19.99.

And also had the idiot guy that you couldn't tell anything to that you don't HAVE to use SLS shampoos to clean your hair, he tried to argue with me and say yes you do, and I asked him if he ever heard of coco betaine and he was like no...but you need to listen to me.

I said you don't know what coco betaine is so I don't trust anything you say since you claim to know everything now be quiet and show me where the aphogee is.

Say what? I used to only pay like $8-10 bucks for that treatment, until I found out I can get the same treatment with 2 eggs following some Aussie moist 3 minute treatment for $4.00.
The price of Aphogee has creeped up over the years, but $25? Good grief.

Yeah that two eggs thing doesn't work that well for me. It's good but not comparable to the aphogee, in fact, nothing is that I've used thus far. But I only use it a few times a year so it's not that bad but still!!!

It has crept up, I remember buying it for $16!!

You guys should price watch Sally's. They up each and every single product in the store every few weeks at .20 cent increments over time until the next thing you know stuff is $1-$2 more by the end of a year.

I think hair care forums have turned hair care product suppliers into "pushers" and "pimps"

Nioxin, aphogee, what else??????

Makers of "vitamin c" ( powder/crystal form) did something similar when the demand increased - they kept raising the prices.

So the gratitude (from companies) for a community of customers giving positive feedback and product recommendation is "price gouging".

We'd better keep an eye on some of the other "across the board staple" favorites (castor oil, coconut oil), lest their prices start to get out of control.

I hate to admit, I'd bite the bullet and pay BC nothing compares to it. I'm searching for something else that's less time consuming but my hair is like butter after using it !

They've done this with my silk essentials deep conditioning treatment... I know when I BC'ed in 2010 it was 7.99, and in these couple of years it's gone up a little... But imagine my shock when I picked up a jar and it was $14.99!!! Omg!

I have that that place carries my staples, I may have to go elsewhere...

Yeah, I was mad about a month ago when I went to go buy it. Everywhere in my area it is that much, too. It's like $15 in Buffalo though. I'm going to ask my brother to pick me up a bottle or two because he is coming this way this weekend.

I bought that last bottle marked $19.99. If there's more I'll go back and just keep a bottle or two on hand or wait till there's a sale at sallys.

You should have seen me! I was so flustered in sallys yesterday I couldn't focus on anything else.

At my local BSS it's 18.99 for the package of 16oz 2-step, Balancing DC and Keratin and green tea reconstrutor. I better jump on that before they get word.

empressri If you go to a BSB in Brooklyn around Flatbush ave you might find it for $20 for the big bottle. I remember years ago when I was relaxed I found the big bottle for $7.99 at a BSB on Fulton street, I definitely think they priced it wrong cause when I went back a few weeks later it was like $16.

i am sitting here tripping because i have always paid $26 for the 16oz. which is the size i usually buy because the small packets and smaller bottle is not even cutting it.

i WISH i could find it cheaper......matter of fact i'm buying some tomorrow cus i am overdue for one.

My last bottle bought earlier this year cost 22.99 but I paid 18. and some change with my Sally's discount card.

I'm glad I never fell for this. when I need some strong protein I go straight to Duo Tex. There are other products that I am weaning myself from too.
