Do I need to use a sulfate shampoo to remove them? Or will a sulfate free shampoo, or my beloved bentonite clay remove them as well?

what do you mean by proteins building up on hair?
proteins from what?
excuse my ignorance lol

i was reading about the curly girl method (which i follow), and it said that proteins can and will eventually build up (as most products/ingredients do). I just want to make sure that bentonite clay can remove it since there is soy milk protein in my beloved vo5, which i use daily at the moment

where do you get your sodium bentonite clay? I ask bc I recently learned that natural kitty litter is made out of that! I use it on my face as a mask lol (after mixing it with warm water).
