silly question about distilled water

What exactly is the benefit of using distilled water on the hair?? I see that a lot on all long hair care boards. I've never tried it but I'm willing to try anything to achieve healthier, longer hair. Can you tell I'm new at this?

A lot of people have hard water (lots of minerals in the water that can be deposited on your hair). Distilled water is mineral free. It's completely clean water. So you get a nice clean rinse. Some people opt for a shower filter which also gets rid of the build-up causing minerals. HTH

I always used distilled water for my final rinse (and my acv rinse as well). It always leaves my hair feeling even better.

I think yours is a good question. Not everyone knows about distilled water. I've bought distilled for drinking but I haven't tried in on my hair yet.
