I bought the Affirm Lye relaxer in a tub and also the activator. But I've been reading here and in other sites and some say they didn't need an activator and they bought a tub. Am I missing something here?
i don't know much about affirm but the huge tub i had didn't come with an activator. do they make single use applications (a small tub) that would require an activator?
The one I bought says Affirm original formula, in the ingredients they list sodium hydroxide,so it's lye, it comes with a small bottle of protecto attached to its side. Next to that was the activator, so I thought I needed it, but then I did a search and somebody said that the one in the tub comes already activated (??) , and other people say you need the activator.
Anyway,it's done I self relaxed today, I hoped it would get my hair really straight the way I like it because other ladies here have complained that it gets their hair too straight. I think my hair is underprocessed.
